Idk why we feel the need to give our 2c on everything, but I think it's contributed to a lot of the division because it causes people to get stuck in echo chambers and never consider any sort of middle ground, or that there might be another valid perspective.

And that's part of the reason I don't typically share my opinions about specific political issues.

Not every thought or feeling needs to be broadcast to the world, when you know it's just going to piss off one of two sides.

It's completely ok to hold your opinion and then ask questions to learn

They get so vitriolic, and I really miss the days when you could still just have conversations with people with different opinions.

I LOVE to learn and hear others perspectives. My political stance on many issues has changed once I talked to someone on the opposing side.

The most political thing I share usually are the memes Gavin's account posts on tiktok, bc I just think they're peak meme editing and it's impressive.

Eventually we will either destroy each other, or we'll destroy this planet which will in turn destroy us, and eventually another life cycle will happen. Maybe human, maybe botanical, idk. But at that point, will there be a reason we were here? Will anything we did affect anything in the new? No.

viewed it as life is just something that happens and then it's over. The world will keep turning, people will continue to live their lives and destroy each other and this planet until everything is gone, and then eventually some other life cycle will start, maybe human maybe not.

no, I totally feel this. I don't really know how to articulate it, but like, I went to Catholic school for 10 years and was taught about heaven and death and all that good stuff. And even then, I still felt kinda like "ok but I'll be dead anyway so why does it matter?"
