I can't think of many other actresses who threw themselves into physical comedy to quite the same extent. Obviously stunt doubles were used, but much of the time it was clearly her doing that stuff. One of the greats.

Yeah, she seemed to have no reservations getting stuck in to whatever she was given. A real rarity. You'd think she'd be the sort to say: "I'm not doing that!" but no and the show was better for it.

Very upset to learn of Dame Patricia Routledge's passing. For me, she was probably the best female comedy actress of all time. She could reduce you to laughter with just a look or a twitch of her eye. She was a master of her craft and a legend of the screen. #RIP
