I have unipolar depression (cyclic downs w/o manic ups). It's always worse during holidays bc of multiple traumatic events coinciding w/holidays. Last year I intuitively stayed home & hibernated with some good books & my cats. Turns out the family members who congregated all came down with Covid. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm not a supporter of Hamas, but the "truce violation" was not surrendering 10 bodies of deceased hostages. Because... they can't find them among the other 10,000+ bodies buried under ruble from the IDF's continual bombing of Gaza.
They've surrendered all they could find, already.

It's definitely culture. I've lived in México for 34 years, surrounded by & friends with my Mexican neighbors, not in an "expat enclave".
Their work ethic is inspiring & they teach it to their children from an early age. Children are raised with love, compassion, respect for elders,& common sense.

me of "faking" the 4 MRIs I'd had. He stepped over me where I'd fallen, unable to get up, & left me helpless & with no money. He died a few years later.
I'm 80 now, almost 81. The older I get, the harder it is to be all alone & without help.
But I've only myself to worry about.

I'm so sorry you've gone through that. I only have myself to worry about, & my adult children are healthy. I was 57 when I became completely disabled, so they were already adults. My husband actually called me a liar when I told him I'd been diagnosed with an aggressive form of MS, & accused (1/2)
