No. Agriopis is a very different taxonomic branch (Geometridae v Noctuidae). As different, say, as Cyprinidae v Salmonidae.

Griposia is considered a sub-genus of Dichonia - and Merveille du Jour is known alternatively as Dichonia aprilina.

Looks like ChatGpt is partially correct - as is often the case :)

Agriopis is a different group of moths among the geometrids (eg Dotted Border) - so a different family.

We’ve discovered that students and others using ChatGpt can be misled - for example by its tendency to invent references

The alternative name for the genus - Dichonia - is about hindwing pattern (= two white lines), so this whole name would be colour related.
