“When you’re the President, you see, they just let you do it.” - Donald Trump on the US justice system. WHY hasn't Merrick Garland spoken out? 🤔

Trump demolishing the East Wing is starting to seem like more than being about a ballroom. He's reworking comms systems in the bunker underneath.
And we are watching it in plain sight.

Merkley: "What we've seen is that democracies no longer die bc men w/guns go in and take it over. Instead, it's electeds who erode the separation of power. If you have a rubber-stamp Congress & courts that deliver more power to the executive, suddenly you have an authoritarian state. It's here now."

Tell me a scenario in which Trump accepts that his completed ballroom is being used by a Democrat or a Republican he hates. This is, literally, a monument to permanence. It’s not the action of someone planning to leave.
Again, I did make a mistake, thank you for correcting me.

I didn't say anything about Janet Mills only that I don't trust Chuck Schumer who I think has been less helpful than a doormat these last 9 months.

You still haven't offered how you think I ought to fix this?

Trump calls his opponents “communists,” but he’s the one turning private companies into government-owed businesses.

Stefanik endorsed, campaigned, and fundraised for George Santos.
You know why it looked so disingenuous to me?

Because Chuck Schumer backed Janet Mills.

Democrat leadership has been so weak that my default setting at this point is: if Chuck Schumer supports it, don't trust it.

If I made a mistake, fine. How do you propose I issue a correction?
WTF are you talking about?

I don't sit in front of social media all day.

Thank you for the link. It looks like I didn't know he was aware of the skull & crossbones he tattooed on himself. I'll read you link later - thank you 🙏 - and I will delete my post if it is the way it looks.
Yeah, hard to look when I’m driving you know?

Thanks
i haven’t seen that.

Can you provide a link please?

Thanks.
This is a disingenuous post.

He has a skull & crossbones tattoo not a swastica. Reasonable that he didn't realize it was Nazi skull & crossbones.

Where was all this Dem outrage when Trump promoted THIS guy as a "martyr" at his rallies and had hime speak at TWO Bedminster fundraisers last year??

Shoutout to @merkley.senate.gov for calling out President Trump's escalating corruption and efforts to undermine our system of checks and balances 💯
Respectfully, you are wrong

Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are the ones attacking Mamdani by not endorsing him and expressing "reservations"

Chuck Schumer is the one who inserted Janet Mills in to this race

I don't recall Schumer or Jeffries saying jack sh*t about Trump openly promoting Hitler

In the midst of a government shutdown, and in the face of fundamental challenges to the rule of law and to democratic accountability, the House of Representatives--the people's house, the heart of our democratic republic--hasn't cast a vote since Sep. 19. An extraordinary failure of responsibility.

But it gets worse. According to the New York Times, the DOJ does not “require a public announcement of settlements made for administrative claims before they become lawsuits.”

That means the DOJ could pay Trump $230 million in complete secrecy.

Donald Trump is reportedly demanding that the DOJ pay him $230 million in damages related to the criminal cases it brought against him in 2023.

This is a particularly outrageous government ethics issue—even for Trump. Let’s break it down 🧵

Brian Schatz: "This is not about money. There is enough money to bail out Argentina with $20b. There is enough money to purchase a brand new aircraft for $173m for Noem. There is enough money to renovate the WH ballroom. What there isn't enough money for under this Republican government is you."
