Class 5 have been learning how to use and manipulate clay by pressing the clay in and joining the clay using slip. Today, we used our design to guide our clay work by making a 3D 1666 house tile.

Today in forest school, we tasted the most abundant local fruit of harvest time, we made a campfire apple crumble, we made “relaxing music” on the steel drum. We played in the rain, made conker crafts and mud kitchen delicacies.

We have been working on our football skills during PE this half term. We have been learning how to dribble, pass and how to control the ball. We enjoyed our first game of football this week where great communication skills were shown!

Class 5 explored our #ForestSchool today. We identified different leaves and trees, explored clay, made our own paint using natural materials, lit our own fire, created our own natural pictures using rollers and enjoyed swinging on hammocks.

planned, designed and created a beautiful Acutis Cross using a mixture of recycled computing equipment and natural materials. Their acrostic poem explains the deeper meaning behind each design choice.

In Class 8 we have been discussing what it means to be made in God’s image. We wrote our names on the mirrors at our prayer table and reflected on the ways in which we could show that we are made in His image every day.

School Council met this morning. We started to create our own Code of Conduct. We thought and wrote about what makes a great School Councillor. We typed up our own minutes for the meeting.

Nursery had a very special visitor today.After listening to Owl Babies, we met Barnababy, the owl. We felt his feathers, listened to the noise he made and saw him turn his neck all the way around.
