My understanding of what people with physical disabilities go through is only from personal observation. I will never truly understand. But my cousin was blind, she was a dynamo and outgoing. She would be livid if a seeing actor was portraying a blind character. Hire a blind actor!

Yes. I start worrying about them and what hell it must be on the children to forever be stuck in the same school, same grade, same hormones (or lack thereof), same problems over and over. It's like a groundhog day without the benefit of full life to learn from.

No, he is simply lying. It's his only actual trait, he doesn't tell the truth. He doesn't know the truth when he sees it, he does not recognize it. He lies because it's all he has ever been, a liar.
I'm sure he is in cognitive decline, but his instinct to always lie remains.
