What a fantastic day at @raspberrypiorg.bsky.social with so many great people from the world of computing education. Considering what we should be teaching our children about #AI in schools here in the UK. Massive thanks to @janewaite.bsky.social @suesentance.bsky.social

I've been thinking about reviewer workload in computing education research, so I wrote up my thoughts into a blog post: academiccomputing.wordpress.com/2025/01/22/r... Shorter review forms, shorter papers, reducing discussion - plus some more dramatic ideas.
If you're a primary teacher and have recently used the micro:bit in school we'd love to hear from you! Follow the link below!
Looking forward to it too!!

The Micro:bit Educational Foundation just launched micro:bit #CreateAI 🎉! microbit.org/ai/. I love it for playful, physical & creative learning about ML. Use movement data to train/test a model, then use that model in #MakeCode to make an AI thing! Mad excited to see what people make! #microbit

Delighted to share our #CSEd paper on a pair programming intervention with primary school pupils. Although girls’ confidence and engagement increased, the lack of attitude changes highlights systemic barriers to making computing more inclusive for girls.
