Investigations into Russian intelligence by UK SIS never took place - because the government of the time never instructed them to do so.

I do hope the current government does not make the same error.

Blocked by yet another drooling Corbyn nutjob who’s convinced Starmer spends his Saturdays dressed as a policeman to arrest people “for protesting”.

Absolute simpletons.

Most MAGA are so ill informed that they probably won't even see this story. Bad news about the supreme leader isn't allowed in the MAGA press. The others won't care because they're in a cult.
This should sink Trump, but it won't.
The problem is ALWAYS gullible lambs to the slaughter.

The Trump administration is REALLY allowing Qatar to build an air base in the US after they did a $5.5 billion golf resort deal with Trump and gave him a jet.

MAGA can take their ‘America First’ flags and wipe their asses with them. He is Trump First, and you are suckers.

And before the far right / racists got involved (mostly from outside the area of course), when it obtained planning permission 2 years ago, there were just 21 objections.

'Odd' how far right extremist 'concerned citizen' is never concerned enough to get their facts straight.

It's not a 'super mosque'

It's a couple of doors down from a car breaker yard and a roofing supplies warehouse - and not in the Lake District park.

And it won't have a minaret or loudspeaker.

Wouldn't the Refuk (mis)leaders be better off trying to come up some policies of their own rather than imagining policies that Labour don't have and then 'slamming' them...?

Loved Shoestring. The part of Eddie Shoestring was made for an actor like Trevor Eve. I know quite a few of the locations where filming of Shoestring took place - I used to work in Bristol and used to live roughly about 4 miles from the centre of Bristol.

I suspect Labour's plan to #RejoinEU is to
🇪🇺 prepare the electorate for change
🇪🇺 avoid giving Reform the debate it wants
🇪🇺 rebuild relationships with EU Leaders who will ultimately decide
🇪🇺 go for it in a second term Labour Government

All four [and more] are necessary.
🇪🇺🙂

Starmer blaming #Brexit for tax rises may be accurate but when only 37% of a now disproportionately dead electorate voted for it almost 10 yrs ago, based on undeliverable lies, the questions are why should the rest of us stomach it & where is Labour’s plan to change that? archive.ph/2025.10.10-2...

As far as I recall, Yes. Corbyn (Lab leader at the time) imposed a three-line whip on all Labour MPs to vote in favour of triggering Article 50. Those Labour MPs who voted against triggering Article 50 were, I believe, suspended from the party for defying the three-line whip imposed by Corbyn.

In other words, just like Trump and Farage.
suew.bsky.social
We all knew at the time he was elected as Con Party leader how bad he would be as a Prime Minister and sadly he didn't disappoint. And the same applies to Farage (although one suspects as a PM Farage will even manage to surpass Johnson on levels of sheer self-entitlement, corruption and sleaze).

Nothing surprises me now about how corrupt and sleazy Johnson really is.

Not so good in Spain (5%). Great in Scandinavia (30%+).

The numbers of electric vehicles sold in Europe in 2024 are in:

⚡ 1.45 million new battery-only EVs registered
📈 +32% growth in the total electric fleet
🔋 13.6% of all new car registrations are electric

Europe is going full throttle to a clean future.

link.europa.eu/cNKjkh
A color-coded map of Europe titled "Share of electric vehicles sold in each EU country in 2024," showing the share of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) as a percentage of total new passenger car registrations. The EU average is 13.5%. Countries with the highest shares (>20%, darkest shade) include Sweden (35%), Netherlands (34.5%), Finland (29.5%), Luxembourg (27.4%), Belgium (28%), and Denmark (51%). Other countries like France (16.5%), Portugal (19.9%), and Austria (17.5%) are also in the <20% range. Several Eastern and Southern European countries (including Italy, Spain, Poland, and Czechia) have shares below 10% (the lightest shades).

A good article which underlines the fragility of democracy and how fast democracy can be lost (we are currently witnessing this in real time with the behaviour of the Trump Presidency and how quickly he has undermined and done away the guard-rails which underpin and supports a democratic country).

So let me get this right.
Last time Trump was in power he put Muslim flight bans in place as they are terrible people and want to do America harm.
Roll on a few years and after gift of a jet the Qataris have now free unfiltered access to American soil to come and go and do as they please.
Traitor.
