It is wild to live in SF which has partially burned down a couple of times due to gas lines… and yet we’re still putting gas everywhere.
I’m sure it won’t be a problem next earthquake though

I consistently get my best software design ideas while biking on sunset dunes & not thinking about work at all…
Something about the mild exertion, caffeine & low stress.
Meanwhile I struggle with in-person brainstorms which I find stressful & unproductive

Yeah… It would easily be an 80% pay cut to move back to France for me. And probably just 100% for my partner who doesn’t speak french.
Also, I like SF, so I’d rather not be forced to move!

Yeah… if you’ve interacted with recall folks (which tbf also got Joel elected in the first place), they are straightforwardly right-wing reactionaries: racist, hate poor people, want state violence used against people they dislike, conspiracies everywhere, etc

I’ve been lucky enough to see dolphins every day of the past 4 days at Ocean Beach, and it never gets old!
Also the pelicans & thousands of sooty shearweathers, it’s all so cool

Seemingly every intern we get from stanford has learned nothing at all in college, it’s crazy…
Also makes me question college rankings (even more) because clearly they have no correlation to educational value
