Not really into mysticism or satanism either, though I appreciate and defend The Satanic Temple's messaging and mission; also if there is a satan I hope there is some Republican ass smiting someday.

If Talarico gets out there & starts talking to people, he stands a chance. He's very likable & knows what is important to people. If the dingus DNC will support candidates in Texas we might be in the fight.

I'm starting to think we don't have free speech anymore. If they are only having Trump supporters in all government jobs, we better kiss our asses goodbye. The incompetence is going to get us all.

Firing someone purely for their political affiliation is illegal and is a violation of free speech.

I'm not so sure. Have you been on the local chat board lately? I'm not sure if they are just being ostriches and hoping it all goes away, or really are unreachable no matter what happens.

It's the butt hurt response to having ancestral South Africans kicking the yt oppressors to the curb & showing them what it feels like to be the weaker party. Yt privlege male is a powerful drug.

They played the national anthem before they began the symphony program in Austin. We sat through it. Forced nationalism does not result in love of country. The ability to freely chose when & what to support promotes love of country. This felt like Nazi Germany type propaganda & set a bad tone.

Talk to people. Also get like minded friends and go on the local chat boards in the area. Be respectful, but use it to reach people that read, but don't interact as much. There will be people that vehemently argue against you, but stay on topic & use personal examples. Change their echo chamber.

I started by urging people to get vaccinated. Later, put in a story about a beautiful little girl in a nearby city that died of cancer as a person that could be harmed by unvaccinated people. It is a good cause to fight for. They are brainwashed for the cause though. But it is a start.

Examples of people hurt by their bigotry. A lot of people will call you hateful, or shun you. You won't change the most intense haters, but there are others that may not even be posting that might start to see the posts & start to realize the hate they feel is wrong. Cite people that are relatable.

1/2 If you live in a conservative area, look for a chat board for the community. Most small towns near bigger cities have one. Establish you are from the area by citing local interest topics.Put in some fun ones. Be respectful, but put in topics that make them rethink positions. Give concrete

Buying any alcohol at a restaurant is stupid anyway. It's expensive & unnecessary. I go there to eat. Anyone paying those prices for it shouldn't complain about the price of groceries. A decent government would be warning about the negative effects & opposing the alcohol industry. But $$$ wins.

I replaced the battery in my Samsung. They said the waterproofing might be compromised, but ok. It has a headphone dongle thingy, I'd rather have a real jack. I think there are some models that make them. Motorola, last I looked, & some European models.

The small bits of Friends I've watched make me realize I shouldn't waste my time. Can't stand Family Guy either. King of The Hill was good tho. I like quirky shows like Reservation Dogs, People of Earth, Fargo.

Small scale efforts like the interdenominational march with flowers are better optics than angry shouting. They want fires & aggressive crowds to prove people on the left are anarchists. I'm not saying large gatherings don't relay a message, but optics matter.
