I miss waking up in the morning and knowing President Obama was in charge. I miss the kick I got out of watching him sink a three-pointer, just because he is that cool. I really miss him.

I spent 50 years working with physicians. The wording in that letter seems phony to me. Nobody at 79 has "exceptional" bloodwork, and no physician I know would use that term. It's not possible to have venous insufficiency and have the heart of a much younger person. Nice try, whoever the D.O. is.

I actually have known a couple of Nobel laureates. As I understand it, you are awarded the Nobel prize. You can't actually apply. It's not exactly an open contest.

@cnn.com When you send out a young reporter to the WH lawn to talk about the Nobel prize, could someone tell her how to pronounce "Nobel"? That was embarrassing.

My favorite was the CNN reporter on the WH lawn this morning, mispronouncing Nobel. Repeatedly. We have really failed in educating our young people. Pitiful.

I remember in 1963, many of the leaders of the marches in the South were clergy. As a minister's daughter, shooting at his head just makes me well beyond outraged.

I actually wrote an honors thesis on Stravinsky in college. When I think back to how little I knew about anything, I'm a little embarrassed.

I stole a Hershey bar. It was apparently the thing to do in New Jersey. My mother found out right away, she always found things out and I never knew how, and she made me take the money right back to the store. I was horrified. Thus endeth my criminal career. I never cheated on a test.
