My local vet, set up 20 years ago by two excellent young vets, was taken over by a company owned by Mars Inc. Vet care deteriorated. I was on the verge of leaving. Then they killed my dog because they cut corners. I'm now with one of only two independent vets in town. Too late for Annie though. 😢

Local authorities across England are choosing how to spend this money very differently. Unfair chaos seems a good way to describe how this is being dealt with. And the gutter press really are portraying this handout to the poor as a wonderful thing rather than the cut in income it actually is. 4/
