Only 2 in the trap on Saturday but night before was better.

Another Merv and Chestnut, Y-LQ?, The Brick? (If so NF🔲) and a December moth.

I caught 11 December moths on 6/11/24 so still plenty of reason to get the traps out!

Very interesting LNR nr Carperby. Lots of Spring sandwort still in flower with some thrift and Rock-rose also still out. Ground was carpeted in places with Thyme.
Must come back in summer!

Had a play with ⬇️ from Twitter.

ObsIdentify said casp on all 4. Apple/Siri had Herring gull for all 4 whilst Seek just said ‘large white headed gull spp.

Thankfully some mothy residents last night.
A Dark-sword grass, 3 Yellow-line quakers, RG carpet and an unknown (see pic)🤷‍♀️.

But I’ve just realised (after checking Yorkshire Moths database) that there hasn’t been a DS Grass record this century in my 🔲🤯. Today’s was the fifth this year!

Walking along the other day with Seek open, I noticed it flashed up “ptarmigan”.
I couldn’t get it to replicate the ID sadly but I was near a plant with fluffy white seed heads so I can only presume…😂😂😂😂
