Was excited to add this wayward duck to my life list. This is an Eurasian Wigeon that has been wintering at the Nisqually Refuge with a flock of American Wigeons. He kinda stands out in the crowd.

Yes. I have a separate PTSD claim. My point is that there are ancillary issues associated with this condition even though I’m not being actively treated. It’s incurable and must be monitored for the rest of my life.

The "Ring-necked duck" name is misleading – Despite its name, the chestnut-colored ring around its neck is nearly impossible to see in the field. A better name might be "Ring-billed Duck" since the white band near the tip of its bill is much more noticeable.
