To me personally, characters are not as interesting if they're watered down. The complexity is what makes them compelling in the first place.

Charlie definitely doesn't get enough credit, and I enjoy fleshing out her character more.

Alastor is pretty terrible overall, and his motivation is consistently self-centered.

Trying to manipulate Charlie was an awful move. He could have come clean, told her he was angry and needed a punching bag, that she could have maybe understood, but this?

I don't think anyone could shoulder that kind of burden forever. She just hit her limit and decided to leave and let the chips fall where they may.

Lucifer was caught unaware. He for sure could have handled it better, but Alastor’s reaction here was spectacularly out of proportion.

Lilith spent 10 000 years with someone deeply depressed, prone to wallowing and shutting himself off for long periods of time, leaving everything on her to handle.
