little comic I originally planned to make for shortbox. now obviously i'm not part of the shortbox lineup, but i ended up making the comic anyways.

Zyx just killed a guy and stands in the blood "my booties!" they say, before looking at the corpse again and then shrugging it off saying "eh not my problem"

Zyx throws the corpse off the railing of the billboard maintainance scaffolding and notes something in their notebook. "done and done!" they proclaim.

Now they lean back annoyed "what now, though? ugh..." they wonder. they frolic back inside past the corpses of many aliens and grab their backpack.

Changes to the Amaakh to make them look more related to the Saaka and to make short bursts of flight more plausible. The spot on their neck is naked, inflatable skin for display purposes. They are fast and agile runners.

Temporary stop along a Torr migration route. Only used for a few weeks during each cycle, the shelters consist of natural caves in tall spires and are expanded upon with large sails to protect from the sun.

Torr, desert nomads. Naked skin in the face and along the neck helps them regulate temperature along with the nose "vents" that also protect from dust. Highly efficient at moving through different types of deserts for long stretches of time.

hey one thing I'd really like to see, in this era of ramped up vile personal attacks on marginalized people, is less pressure from educational institutions, publishers, industries, conventions, peers etc. for artists to use their "real" name online lol
