Canadians create and innovate. We contribute to humanity. Not a single day passes without hearing a Canadian contribution to help the world in some way or form. We have stories that started in small towns and big cities across Canada, and now I will be sharing them on stages half a world away. 🇨🇦❤️ 3/
Over the next few days, I will be speaking and joining leaders, innovators, and changemakers from around the world. I am going there as a proud Canadian. We really have so much to be proud of. The world is open to us. It is ready for us. 2/
On my way to Japan! 🇨🇦🇯🇵 I am very excited to share that I am going to Osaka, Japan, where I will have the honour of sharing my Canadian pride and representing Canada at Expo 2025. 1/
2/ This country was built by a broad range of people from a number of different nationalities. Canada is a cultural mosaic in which all our diverse backgrounds come together to create a bigger, more beautiful picture of what Canada truly is and the values it represents.
Happy Father’s Day to the greatest dad out there. My dad taught us to lead with love and to never forget where you come from.He also taught us to carry Syria in our hearts and Canada in our souls, and we all are continuously building a life that honours both. Wishing you all a peaceful Father’s Day.
So amazing to see many Canadians exploring this beautiful country this summer and making their way to Nova Scotia (many are visiting for the first time). You are in for a treat! Welcome to the East Coast! 🇨🇦
Two years ago today, I married the love of my life. Happiest of anniversaries, love. @milazidan.bsky.social ❤️🙏 Here's to everything we have built and all the peace we are still dreaming into being.
The courage to listen is just as important as the courage to speak. Thank you to the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario for this opportunity - it was an honour to share a keynote speech on building a cause, to a room full of people who work so hard to uphold justice & compassion in our legal system.
There is hope for peace. I have witnessed it. I have experienced it. And I think it can be reached, one generation at a time, one small act of kindness at a time, one tale, one act of compassion at a time.
Diversity is the heart of who we are as a country 🇨🇦. So grateful to have had the chance to celebrate it and reflect on it in Abbotsford, British Columbia. These moments remind me just how special Canada truly is. ❤️
Today is a very big day for two very important reasons: 1 - It is HER Day. 2 - It is Election Day.
Happy Birthday to my amazing wife and partner in life and democracy, the person who somehow make every day feel like a landslide victory. Love you Mila ❤️
We had the honour of hosting CTV National News as they interviewed local community members, students and our team about what matters most to them in this election. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to offer a space for the community to share their vision for building a more inclusive 🇨🇦.
Inside these doors, my mother is undergoing a 5-hour surgery following a severe accident. Some of Nova Scotia’s most skilled surgeons are doing everything they can. I am endlessly grateful for all the prayers & kindness. The past 36 hours have been incredibly difficult.
