I love creating games in #Pico8 , #Picotron and #Godot. I especially love #demakes and have created a few of my own. Check out my games on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=taxicomics

Hi!
I'm taxicomics, and I love creating games.
Somehow my "professional" niche became horror games, but I love experimenting with concepts from every genre. I like #demakes and #retrogaming . I crave interaction with other gamedevs and gamers - so thanks for stopping by! #gamedev
That is crazy impressive, nice work!
Gorgeous! A gamejam with these assets would be a nice way to celebrate the spooky season.
This is very very cool. Where are you token-wise? Can't wait to see what you do with it. Even "just" having the daggerfall-esque "go to the xyz dungeon and get the amulet" quests would be so cool :)
I was on a little hiatus and haven't created anything in a while-thank you so much for the motivation! This was a great read
This is scratching the itch that has been with me since the Zelda: oracle games! Looks neat!
That is really cute and a nice idea :)
Thought this was dayz for a second
Aaand while I am busy with real life stuff I still had time to cancel my disney+ subscription. Need to head to a DVD store soon, though. I'm hoping they don't have retro consoles, otherwise I might have to declare bankruptcy soon
The news in Germany read a lot like a "somewhat controversial" guy was shot by a guy who "became political" after being an "apolitical" MAGA guy. They do not mention the alt right stuff, it sounds like he "just" opposed kirk - as an antifascist, which, for some reason, means left leaning here.
That is a great little tool, thanks for sharing!
I have no idea whether gamers consider my stuff "solid".
I have seen a lot less people discovering my games organically - but with the numbers of games releasing on Steam increasing year after year it is only natural that most games get less attention than before.
Which changes are you referring to? NSFW stuff?
I agree with the others, but I actually prefer 1. it looks most at home in itch, 4 almost looks too polished.
Thank you for the write-up, it was a blast to read.
If this is your idea of "not much to show off" I need to stop making games :D Looks incredible!
This year I released “Bloodletting”-a real-time #roguelike built in #pico8. Now I am turning it into a “Zelda-like” RPG.

Current design twist: the weapon is unlocked *after* the first dungeon-players must clear it using only their dash.Tight, risky, and oddly satisfying #gamedev #screenshotsaturday
Understandable! I was in the same position and haven't had any success either
Also watch out for Stolen assets- I was offered tons of tilesets ripped straight from itch an other sources. Best of luck in finding somebody, but the process can be grueling
Careful fellow gamedev, I asked for help on here once and was non stop bombarded by AI "artists" looking for a quick buck
Very very valid. Small audience is maybe just the excuse I used for my games. Picotron games can be perceived as "modern" pixelart games built in modern engines, so they will always be lacking behind them for people looking for modern features or graphics.
But it is such a joy to use
Thank you for the feedback, let's figure it out.
In Picotron the arrow keys are also controller inputs. They do work, but on controller you accelerate with another button(C on Keyboard). And could you record the arrow not working? You have to drive into the marker and they point towards the next.
They do work, it just doesn't play very well. You need more than the 2 buttons of the touch controls, so drifting is not really an option on mobile, rendering the game unbeatable and therefore unplayable
I'd love to see what you can do on Picotron :) The playerbase is WAAAY smaller though, so maybe either help it reach more people or wait until it has reached more people
I just finished "Chunky Rally", my new #racing game. You can play it here for free and in browser:

Big thanks to the #Picotron community for the pre-launch feedback.
Have a great day!
