I will say the bachelorette phenomenon is real and entertaining, but I have so many questions about that.
That's a good observation. Will probably go back at some point. I used to drive through it fairly often and it has grown quite a bit.
Ha! That tinge of disdain comes from witnessing Broadway and someone who grew up in a home with a lot of old country and from a place that's technically in Appalachia. That working-class culture is gone. The rest of the town seems okay. It reminded me of Charlotte with all of the new growth.
First time going to Nashville. New and old. In case you're wondering what kind of place it is, it has three prominent bars named after really terrible people. Taken with the Maxxum 7 and Ferrania P33.
AT&T building in Nashville looms over the old buildings of Broadway.
The size and weight (and cost!) can't be beat.
And, more importantly, one that can accurately focus automatically.
I bought its replacement yesterday.
Really compact and light. I could get used to this!
Maxxum 5 out on our mini-walk tonight. I like this as a lightweight option compared to the 7.

One from the late summer. Glad it's gone. Taken with a Mamiya 7, 43mm and Gold.
The side of a warehouse in Birmingham, Ala. on a hot day. The walls are beige stone. The doores are brown and a vent matches the color of the walls.
I'm taking a trip at Christmas and I decided to take an auto focus 35mm so my vote is the EOS for lots of snapping and not too much thinking.
Back in the Southland. Not enough time up north. Only shot two rolls. My area wasn't ready for its peak. But, the "junk" Maxxum 5 was here when I got back and it works.

I like it surprisingly well. Took a gamble, but it us quite nice.
That's right. I almost got the Leofoto G2 with a leveling base for the same reason.
Out and about this evening in Northern Michigan with the H1.
A Hasselblad H1 on a tripod in the woods of Northern Michigan.
So, first day with it in the wild. It is smooth, holds the camera well. It's not as awkward as it seems. My only complaint so far is with it banging around on the bag is the lever for the ball can loosen. It's fine when tightened, but easy to come undone. Will look to see how to tighten the tension.
After all that prep, I decided to leave the Arca at home. Heavy bag, 3:45 a.m. wake up and long weekend made me decide to simplify and pack the H1.
One of my fellow photo walkers on Ferrania P33, the Maxxum 7 and the Summicron 90mm.

Long story, but upgrade, fancy hotel, etc. etc. Bathroom bigger than every other room I've ever stayed.
Very large bathroom at super fancy hotel. Big tub on the right. Two sinks. Shower. Beige.
Was this a trip over to Jekyll?
While organizing some files, I came across this which would have been at the beginning of my film journey - and also the beginning of my recovery - closer to 11 years than 10 now. It was a damn fine way to fill idle hours when I was counting every one of them.

It really does. Used to be a go-to before the price hikes. But, I'll be going north to get some real color.
