If you're going to be on social media, especially during & after breaking news events, take control of sites' algorithms:
✨ Know why you're being fed certain content
✨ Make available tweaks in settings
✨ Practice click restraint

Yes, you should use #NewsLiteracy skills to examine cute animal videos like bunnies on trampolines. Sharing these pieces of engagement bait only further pollutes the information landscape. @404media.co article ⤵️
AI Bunnies on Trampoline Causing Crisis of Confidence on TikTok
People failing to identify a video of adorable bunnies as AI slop has sparked worries that many more people could fall for online scams.

It essentially is "Peril, the Movie"
Cars, trains, and ducks all traveling in parallel - only in the Meadowlands.
Spot-on. I have a tough time seeing any altruistic intentions in initiatives like this.
The winners of this year's @nytimes.com student podcast contest have been revealed! Topics range from sea monsters to beauty products. Including the runners-up, there are 22 shows to check out - essential summer listening, I'd say. #edtech #studentpodcasting #edusky www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/l...

Gearing up for some summer reading! I'm excited to see the ideas of @tishaponcio.bsky.social and @rickbutterworth.com to prep our kids for the future. #EduSky
Seeing my friend's band at a local brewery!

I've always wanted to go to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Enjoy!
It's looking quite musical - seeing a band play and then finishing recording some music with friends. Looking forward to it! How about you, April?
This was a great grocery-store-listen to kick off the weekend. Great advice and ideas for wrapping up the year and intentionally head into the summer. #EduSky
In my experience, I don't think he does.
We had a stellar robotics workshop at the Liberty Science Center last week programming 3D printed eyes using Arduinos. #EduSky
I became an afternoon nap spot for a honey bee while hanging out on the deck earlier. Pollinators rock.

I continue to be really grateful that I learned to be a teacher before 1-to-1 devices were a thing.

Learning to design and facilitate a really good lesson without any tech? Such an important, foundational thing as a teacher.
Do you (or someone you know) teach podcasting with teen students, whether creating or examining? A group of students in the class I'm facilitating are wrapping up making some podcasts, and I'd love to connect with another class for peer feedback or a podcast exchange. Let me know! #EduSky #edtech
Absolutely. We just started our final unit and it's largely Chromebook-free. I was transparent with my students that I want them to demonstrate and learn skills in a different (non-digital) environment - it helps the skills be transferrable and adaptable.
And it's wild to see how when you take out the stack of paper slips and highlighters the novelty meter goes through the roof. It has "we're going to the computer lab today" energy.
Google Looker Studio is pretty rad.
Congrats, Chey!

A consideration when selecting an edu-centric AI tool: does it look like the company is advancing with educators' and students' best interests in mind, or is their goal just to stay ahead of the corporate competition? #EduSky
