I discovered Sauliac twenty-five years ago, by chance, passing by, on a tour, southwards, following the sun. I walked between ruined buildings. Night fell. Silence overwhelmed me. No artificial light. A breathtaking, star-sprinkled sky spanned over the narrow valley. Vestiges of a world, that was.

Vieux Sauliac - now mostly abandoned. People left over a hundred years ago, either moving down into the valley, away from steep cliffs and narrow access paths, or emigrated. A stunning, yet melancholic site, lonely over the wild river Célé

Bekannter, promovierter Historiker, zwischen zwei Sweatshops an der Uni, landete ebenfalls beim Arbeitsamt...in einer Uni Stadt. Beim Blick auf seine Unterlagen wollte ihn die Dame vom Amt mit dem Hinweis hinaus komplimentieren, dass er als Arzt ja wohl problemlos eine Anstellung finden könne...🙈
