Of the folks who enjoyed Hollow Knight, I feel amongst the categories of those Silksong was most made for. Boss fights I can dissect and weave between patience and aggression? I'm in. Well constructed areas I can learn to navigate just by heart? Man... Far more emphasis on platforming? Fuck. Yes.

- amongst all of its characters and themes. I can't pretend like I know absolutely everything going on or could consolidate it all into a nice and neat lore video or anything... but still. Great atmosphere, a soundtrack that really grew on me, a moveset that feels sooo good...

With some distance from that original run and being so invested progressing, I find I enjoy testing myself. Also thinking about the characters is cool. My fondness for Hornet as a protagonist really crept up on me, but it's absolutely there. I also enjoy the numerous parallels to be drawn-

You know, there's a lot a lot of valid criticisms to be levied at Silksong for some of the decisions it makes... but as time goes on I feel my enjoyment of it only really increase. It's fun to think about, attempt to understand, gain mastery over. It just feels damn good.
