So lovely to have such an great group of TEPs AEPs and aspiring EPs attending our @tepicc1.bsky.social session today at the @edpsy.bsky.social festival. I've left with a very full cup and feeling privileged to have co-facilitated the session with such a reflective and hopeful group #edpsych

We’re presenting at the Edpsy festival next week facilitating a reflective session using the tree of life franework. We hope to support current and aspiring TEPs to think about personal and professional identity and how we can support collective action within the profession. #edpsychs

🌟TEPICC at the festival

Delighted that Karimah, Bethanie, Rafia and Pippa will join us in the 'TEP & Aspiring EP' tent.

They'll facilitate an exploration of how bringing our authentic selves to our work can aid our collective liberatory action as future (T)EPs.

Tickets: festival.edpsy.org.uk

What a lovely session with @tepicc1.bsky.social hearing the powerful voices of autistic black girls with @drtiffanynelson.bsky.social presenting her research for our webinar tonight. Lots of reflecting on positionality within our practice & intersectional experiences #edpsychs

💭We want to establish an 'edpsy TEP group'

The energy and grassroots innovation of TEPs deserves a greater chance to influence what we do.

Take a read and if interested, complete an expression of interest by 19th May.

Please share with your TEP colleagues

Feeling all warm and fuzzy after co-facilitating such a lovely pre-application reflective space with @tepicc1.bsky.social this evening. Reflecting on what a privilege it is to be supporting such passionate and skilled applicants on their journey to being TEPs ❤️ #edpsychs

Great discussion Re the EP role, & representation.
Mainly people who are supported by parents or partners able to apply. Limiting diversity.
I waited ~15 years to apply as 1yr masters changed to 3 yr doctorate. I’d stayed as P/T so the training fees were nearly a match to my income.

This is a great interview exploring what educational psychology is all about. I enjoyed hearing about their journeys into EP world and reflecting on positionality and representation as EPs. Made me definitely think about when I might or might not use my Dr title in the future! #edpsychs

"Let's start there"... the conversation around "Dr"... So important. I love hearing Jason's thoughts, so it's great to have a long form conversation here.

Also, really appreciated Shyla's "you still can" when Yannick said "I thought I might want to be an EP". Let's not take things off the table ☀️
