Equal Pay Day marks the extra 50 days women currently work to match men’s pay.

The Allan Labor Government is working to ensure that women have the same opportunities as men, including ensuring fair, flexible work arrangements and affordable childcare.

Safer roads mean safer communities. If you know a dangerous road location, put it forward for the Black Spots Program and help save lives.
Anyone can nominate a Black Spot, whether you are part of a community group, a road user organisation, local government, or an individual. Your nomination goes to a local panel, which includes community representatives, and helps ensure funding goes where it is needed most.
If you have not heard about this terrific Commonwealth initiative, it tackles dangerous road locations head-on, funding upgrades like traffic signals and roundabouts to reduce crashes, save lives, and prevent serious injuries.
However, we do not do it alone. For example, the intersection of Eastfield Road, Morinda Street, and Railway Avenue in Ringwood East is being upgraded thanks to the Albanese Labor Government’s Black Spot Program.
The Allan Labor Government invests a lot in our roads, whether that be city changing projects like the North East Link or everyday maintenance.

This is about giving communities a real say in the spaces where we live, relax and connect. Let us make sure our neighbourhoods have the community spaces we deserve.
How it works:
1. Share your ideas: complete the short survey on Engage Victoria before 7 September.
2. Landholders like councils turn your ideas into funding applications.
3. Vote for your favourites: the most popular projects get funded.
We now all have a chance to shape the future of our local green spaces. Grants of $20,000 to $250,000 are available for new parks or park upgrades in eligible growth areas. This includes around activity centres, priority precincts, and Suburban Rail Loop stations.

ICYMI: It was a busy sitting week in Parliament, with plenty happening both in the chamber and across the North-Eastern Metropolitan Region from streamlining approvals for small lot housing to ongoing consultations on flexible work arrangements.

Working from home works, and the Allan Labor Government will make it a right.

Each week, it saves Victorians (on average) about $110 and 3+ hours, meaning more money and time where it matters.

Following consultation, legislation will be introduced next year.

If you've bought more food than you need, consider donating to my office - Office 2, 9-11 Williamsons Road, Doncaster - like one community member did with this cherry juice.

If you are struggling and need food or pet supplies, you’re welcome to collect them.

In 2022, we also made the Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership free for eligible students. This means school camps have the skilled workforce they need to provide the highest quality outdoor education for our kids.
That is why we are making sure no child misses out on camps, sports or excursions by increasing the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund to $400 from Term 1 next year.
The Allan Labor Government values outdoor education, which is exactly what school camps deliver. They help young people build meaningful connections and develop life skills that last a lifetime.

In Croydon, key improvements to Plymouth Road and Kirtain Drive were completed in late 2023, including new traffic lights and additional lanes. This made and continues to make our roads safer for both motorists and pedestrians.
Victoria is undergoing one of the most significant infrastructure overhauls in its history. Since 2020, the Allan Labor Government has delivered a major boost in road upgrades across the state.
