Then you can say *whatever the fck you want* at any time

So often, in fact, that lies become “truthy” and thus supplant reality

and I'd add, given that said President' *funders* can simply step in - we must have sunlight / transparency of any and all campaign contributions, or better - publicly funded elections to dispense with the money money money altogether

indeed. If we can emerge from the current hellscape, we need leaders who recognize that the only way forward in a capitalist society is a *heavily regulated and monitored capitalism, where infractions have teeth and are prosecuted without fear nor favor*
