75 Years Ago TODAY the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society was formed. Following this, on the 14th May 1951 the TRPS ran their first train kick starting the global railway preservation movement as the World’s First Preserved Railway.

Sometimes there's happy coincidences.

Of the thousands of photo and video files I go through for my videos, I found this one of Flying Scotsman, no.4472, with the file name happening to match.

Might be a while before I get to 60103 files on an SD card!

...We only had Dolgoch as our ring bearer!! These heroes successfully got a real, coal-fired steam engine down the aisle to bring a bit of the Talyllyn to the ceremony.

It's not often you need a track gang and a loco crew at a wedding, but I had the best. ❤️
