Good half. This is much more like the football we expected to see with all the signings made over the summer. Mo looks up for it, Wirtz and Frimpong are cutting them apart, and Isak is desperate for a goal. A shame about them scoring though!

Don’t want to get too far ahead of myself, but Isak’s integration gives Slot a selection headache—albeit a welcome one.

In theory, it could mean Gakpo and/or Ekitike miss out more often. But even Wirtz or Szoboszlai could be at risk if Slot opts for an all-out attack.

Similarly, the discourse around Kerkez is overblown.

Yes, he was poor vs Burnley (and the dive was laughable).

But in the Arsenal game, against Madueke, he was fantastic. Overall, his season’s been far more of the latter than the former.
