So by the number of holes you're now Swiss?

There's a certain irony in the right wing hijacking Pepe the frog as their mascot, and now frog costumed people standing up to fascists.

The same memory alpha article mentions that one paragraph down, sourcing that to Shatner!

According to Memory Alpha which references the TOS season 1 DVD special features, it was grapefruit juice.

Just out of curiosity, was that noted somewhere in the manual? I don't recall ever seeing a reference ingame.

Then again, back then I bought a budget version of privateer with only a short ten or twenty page manual, and ten year old me was more interested in taunting Retro Talons than reading it.

I always wondered why my bank account kept decreasing every time I landed, and why my account was zero at times despite me definitely having some credits left before takeoff

That's a whole lot of squids.

Widely is relative, I think for Sweden it's gonna be 60 new ones and a conversion program for some of the 39Cs. Still, it's being done, so the know-how is there.
I just found out that one of the 39Es was used as a testbed for an autonomous combat plane. I guess Saab is working on combat drones too.

You're probably aware that there's a JAS39-E/F model being rolled out in the last few years with significant radar, avionics and software updates - so I'm confident they have a few years left in them.

Mind you, love the Gripens though. I love the idea of it being maintanable by an conscript army and being rugged enough to take off from random paved roads, if long enough.

If you have some reading - beyond Wikipedia - for me I'd appreciate it though. Always happy to take a closer look.

Contrast with 450+ Typhoons in Euro NATO service, and another 100 or so Tranche 3/4 variants with severe upgrades coming.

In the end, a plane is also only as good as its pilot, and from what I gathered from the periphery of the Ukraine quagmire Russia doesn't seem to go for quality. 🤷‍♂️

Even the Su-35 - in all its Variants (so, counting the Su-27M) only comes to a bit over 100, 120 planes in the Russian air force to my knowledge - and who knows how many of these are even of the Su-35S or 35SM standard, I couldn't find reliable numbers on that.
thatnuttyfanboy.bsky.social
Not to be too nitpicky, but to my knowledge the Su-35 was put into service in the late 80s (with an overhauled version in 2008) - and was an upgraded version of the Su-27 to begin with (and even Russia calls it a gen 4.5 jet)

Any chance you had the Su-57 in mind? Either way, limited numbers exist.

Dann sollte man mal die mündigen Leistungsträger so weit besteuern, dass diese genau viel wie andere mündige Bürger haben. Ist ja offenbar sehr einfach auch auf dem Level vorzusorgen.

Given that the Vulcans used ring nacelles for their warp drives at that time I felt like Starfleet / humanity at that stage looked at Vulcan vessels and thought 'They look like they know what they're doing' and experimented with that layout.

I can imagine that going to warp 3.

For the first time, the USS Enterprise appeared on the screen. It was the beginning of a long, long journey: Star Trek. 🖖

In anticipation of today's lunar eclipse, here's some nighttime photos I took over the years @wombat37.bsky.social #SundayPixNight
Bonfire at night in the middle of nowhere in Austria Two persons silhouetted against a colourfully lit sandstone cliff at night. UNIQA tower in Vienna, Austria, lit up at night as seen from across the Donaukanal. The Donaukanal in Vienna, looking Northwest, just after sunset on a summer day. The lights off the city are reflected in the water, and the hillsides outside Vienna are visible against the horizon.
