One would assume this is against state law as well.. anybody know which state the bribe occurred in?
karlykingsley.bsky.social
Hey. Hi. Tom Homan is on camera taking a $50k bribe and no one knows where the money went. If this was any other administration, this would be non-stop on the news. Why are we normalizing this stuff?

How the red coats became turn coats.
The GOP is denying Arizona citizens their representation by blocking Ms. Grijalva’s swearing in.

Denial of representation is why we fought against the king of England. #nokings

How many “farmers” will get Trumpstein bailouts to cover for his failed tariff policies will operate on <5,000 acres?

$5 says 90% of bailouts go to bigger farms
thebitternomad.bsky.social
When speaking of macroeconomics and farmers it’s important to distinguish between

“farmers” aka transnational conglomerates (these guys fuck w govt)

and

“farmers” the families with 5-50,000 acres (these guys get fucked by govt)

Gov. Tim Walz to Trump as his “man-made” crisis crushes American farmers: "Find three soybean farmers who will stand with you and say, 'This is okay.' Just three, anywhere in America. I challenge you to do that, because you're not going to find them.”

lol well shit, call me Tarintino bc AOC just put a foot in my mouth.

Mahalo for getting out and talking to the people. Just promise that when you become speaker, you won’t inherit Schumer’s lack of humor

If Mike Johnson is refusing to call the House back into session during the shutdown, then we’ll do the work right here the Bronx.

The New York Essential plan is being eliminated entirely next year due to the GOP healthcare cuts. People’s lives are at stake.

And that’s why we’re fighting back.

To his point tho, and maybe it’s just my algo’s, but I’m not seeing Dems pound the pavement to place the fault on the predator-protectors

Johnson: “Manu asks, ‘Why don’t I change my strategy?’ I don’t have any strategy, Manu. I’m doing the right thing…I don’t have anything to negotiate.”

Instead of feeding Americans, Trumpstein will force farmers to destroy rotten food and survive on federal bailouts from his failed tariff policies

ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the 94 million pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the #Trump administration’s cuts to The Emergency Food Assistance Program.

My latest video for @propublica.org.

State authorities have to start pursuing incidents like this. ICE is out of control and way “over the line” - it’s time someone yells “shut the fuck up Donny”

ICE agents blocked an ambulance that was trying to take an injured protester to hospital.

"We are still not being allowed to leave by ICE officers.” an EMT said on radio

When driver tried to get out, an agent yelled, "DON’T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN, I WILL SHOOT YOU"

Documents Allege a Federal Agent at Portland ICE Threatened to Shoot an Ambulance Driver
Feds delayed medics who had come to pick up an injured protester. Then, according to confidential incident reports, the agents became aggressive.

Sounds like the Portland & Oregon DoJ should take it seriously.

Threatening to shooting emergency personnel for rendering aid is the type of thing we’d normally invade a country over

We have precious few restrictions on tech and data and even fewer consequences for bad actors

By that logic (and it’s reasonable logic), all tech companies should have much stricter regulations, foreign or domestic

We just have to fire and garnish wages of thousands of federal workers and steal the bread out of the mouths of school children to do it!

Wait - we have enough money to do both?

Ah fuck it, steal the bread anyway and cancel their insurance while we’re at it!

Minutes before the markets nosedived hard on Friday after Trump announced additional 100% tariffs, massive shorts resulted in over $88m profit for 1 “investor”.

Now they’ve made their $$, Trump TACO’d and the world turns.

Didn’t Martha Stewart go to jail for this??
thebitternomad.bsky.social
Didn’t know this was a thing. I never liked getting punched in the face tho..
thebitternomad.bsky.social
Just in case you were wondering, no POTUS doesn’t have the authority to do this. Tariffs are the responsibility of Congress through legislation and the purse.

The only question is “will congress defend the Constitution or the Corporations?”
