This Monster Wants to Eat Me's premiere was good! I really liked how they portrayed Hinako's depression, even more than I expected. While the outside environment doesn’t always look good or cohesive, I appreciate the contrast between it and Hinako's dark inner thoughts.

Testing some new shaders for our game (DreamON). (Ignore the shoe-only shadows.)

Going for a mix of 90s CG-style shaders and effects like Disillusion in a fully movable environment. Still needs tweaks, but I like how it’s coming along.

Yoshiki now realizes that just because this isn’t the real Hikaru, it doesn’t mean he can’t spend time with him. He decides to treat him as his own person and offers to be the one to teach this creature, who clearly doesn’t understand humans very well, about human life.

The moment when Yoshiki visits Hikaru feels oddly wholesome. As Yoshiki puts it, this Hikaru is much more of a brat than the real one, with behavior that’s almost childlike.

Long overdue, especially with ep 5 out today, but can I just gush about The Summer Hikaru Died ep 3? Easily one of the best this season. I love how it portrays rural community life and a closed mindset, represented in this case by a literal monster.

Mooang’s direction in this EP was really good. I love all the camera movements he provided surrounding Takopi, whether when he was the “light” of the shot or when we were looking through his eyes. It truly painted the picture of how much pressure Takopi is actually under.

Takopi EP 2 was one of the best episodes I've seen in a while. It gave a true sense of almost helplessness, where you really didn't know what Takopi was going to do, and well, when he did "solve" the issue, you are conflicted on whether you should even be happy about it or not.
