Over 40% of corn grown in Indiana is used to make ethanol that cars burn. One acre of corn yields about 16,500 vehicle-miles per year of ethanol, which sounds high until you realize that one acre of solar yields about 2,700,000 vehicle-miles per year: 16,000% more driving for a given plot of land.

So GM is doing to the Bolt what McDonalds does with McRibs. GM is no longer a serious car company & they are doing their best to undermine the EV revolution in North America. So when their Chairman says we need to get rid of EV mandates, we should tell him to pound sand.

I am not sure I agree. The renewable energy economist Mark Jaccard warns us about climate insincere politicians, who feign interest in climate change, but present policies that do nothing. The Manitoba climate plan has all the hallmarks of climate insincerity. Nothing concrete, just vague promises.

But I am critical of this plan. There are no concrete policies, no short or medium-term benchmarks, nothing but flowery language and and a laundry list of vague promises far in the future. In short, a plan so they can say they are doing something without actually doing something. #ClimateInsincere
