I can imagine a realization like that completely flips your world and the opportunities at your disposal upside down. I already found myself gradually adjusting to that six-figure reality, so it makes sense that not much will go beyond a feeling like that!
Been doing it for a few years, and compound growth starts showing. It's genuinely absurd. How are things on your journey, Bako?
Guess "Just do it. And then again, but slightly better." didn't look good on those Nike T-shirts.

Good one Rob, as always!
Must've been something with owning assets that earn money while you sleep, and that have leverage: People, capital, content or code. And, preferably, a combination of them.

What would you say?
Yup, been there. Damn those uncancelled gym memberships haha! How do you approach budgeting yourself, Ran?
Have you ever achieved a financial milestone and felt severely underwhelmed after? Then this one might actually be for you.

I woke up in a hotel and found out my net worth had crossed €100K. I'd expected champagne and euphoria, got something completely different...
7. I Hit My First €100,000 and Felt... Almost Nothing? - The Fillennial
Hitting €100k didn’t bring champagne. It brought calm, perspective, and the quiet freedom to choose without fear of money holding me back.

Hey James, I promised myself to get back to you. The post about my period of financial stress and how it suddenly made gambling look like a serious option is out now. Your post certainly helped putting the pieces together when writing. Hope you'll enjoy the read! thefillennial.com/09-gambling/
9. How Financial Stress Deleted My Common Sense (And Made Gambling Look Like a Solution) - The Fillennial
Money stress hijacks your brain. Here’s how money worries pushed me into some very dumb decisions, and the lessons I’ll never forget.

Absolutely agree, and it's that foundation that can eventually get you the space to grow your wealth. Just saw your profile and saw some nice fundamental personal finance articles. You've got a new follower here Jared, looking forward to seeing more! 😁
The Dutch word 'vermogen' means both 'wealth' and 'ability.'

That's not trivia. That's the point.

Wealth isn't what you own. It's what you can do. The ability to say yes. The ability to say no. The ability to walk away. And the ability not to worry about it afterwards, regardless of the outcome.
Gotta love Toyotas! Driving a 15 year old Toyota hybrid myself, bought it secondhand and it's been one of the best expenses I've ever made 😁
You've got a great profile full with quotes of wisdom. Gotta love Naval's as well, specific knowlege is your own superpower. New follower here!
Hey Bartelle's, I'd love to take a look but get forwarded to a WordPress login instead of the article. Could there be something wrong with the links?
Years ago I obsessively checked betting odds during dinners with friends. My savings had hit zero, I was experiencing extreme financial stress and I'd convinced myself gambling would fix it.

My first sports bet hit 7x, but the stress wasn't gone. New story out now: thefillennial.com/09-gambling/

Always nice to see the Boots Theory popping up somewhere! I also really liked the honesty about your ability to afford new cars. What are you currently driving, and for how long?

You've got a new follower here, I'm looking forward for more! 😁
This absolutely was a long but worthwhile read, Michael! I really liked seeing solid advice on real estate investing, trusts, LLCs and more in one article. And I agree that asking "Is this person primarily teaching or selling?" is the best way to not get fooled. Thanks for this!
Love this, and your focus on genuine connections as well! As for best online move, it's been my financial psychology blog. Good luck with your journey, I'll be following. Let's stay in touch! 😁
I'm glad I accidentally stumbled on your profile, Curtis. The article on the importance of having a buy-in from your family members really resonated. I don't have kids yet but already found your content very helpful, looking forward to seeing more. New follower here! 😁
Putting this here in case you want to know more about this Porsche ride and the unexpected lesson in financial freedom it gave me: thefillennial.com/05...
When studying, a €150 speeding ticket would've wrecked my month.

My ex's uncle in his Porsche going 160 km/h? He casually said "A fine doesn't matter."

That's when I realized: financial freedom isn't the car. It's less worries.
When did you realize money buys peace of mind, not just stuff?
Really liked this blogpost, and I think your "discomfort is not danger" says all there needs to be said about downturns on the stock market! New follower here, looking forward to seeing more 😁
Didn't have the time to watch it in full, but the first 15-20 mins of this were great! Differences between the reward systems of school environments and real life are absolutely not the same, great way of showing how this becomes clear in your finances. New follower here, keep it going! 😁
Absolutely agree, Choach! Question: Based on your long experience, what have been the most frequently observed beliefs that limit achieving financial freedom?
And that's why long-term thinking wins!
Anytime! Let me know when you've made your own feed, super interested in the result 😁
I've used @graze.social to create a custom feed called GoldSky, which is what I use to find the personal finance content I'm personally looking for. It's actually how I found you as well haha! The tooling easy to operate and very intuitive, would recommend!
