The idea that “Samsung is going to collapse” is something only the tech community believes

The reality is Samsung is now on the “average consumer” train and as a result they continue to break their previous sales records

If anything they’ll end up dominating more markets

I’m excited to see how the Exynos 2600 performs in the Galaxy S26

2500 did a great job in the Z Flip7 so now that the 2600 is on par with 2026 flagships it’s exciting to finally have a big third competitor again in the Android space

The reason why I’m offended at the cameras of the Galaxy S26/Plus is because of the gap between it and the Ultra

You the NONE of the sensors from the Ultra while having to pay $800-1000

Meanwhile iPhone 17 shares its UW and the resolution on the main with the Pro models

The upcoming iPhone foldable apparently has an identical screen size to the iPhone Mini at 5.4 inches. Unfolded it is 7.6 inches and has a similar design to the Oppo Find N

SM-S9X1, -S9X6 & -S9X8 are the model numbers typically used for the Galaxy S series

S26 series changed that:

SM-S942, -S947 & -S948

That change was for the new models, Pro and Edge.

So why are both of those cancelled yet the numbers are still the same? Is it just a rebrand?

The S26 Edge honestly had some crazy specs for its size

Wow the software team at Samsung probably sleeps 2 hours a day because the amount of new things One UI 8.5 brings is incredible

In many areas it is a bigger change than One UI 7 and everything has improved in animations and transitions

iPhone 17 Pro Max is amazing and so is my Z Fold7

So far it looks like the S26 series will be a skip for me. I say it every year but now that I’m back on foldables plus iPhones there’s nothing so far that has convinced me to get the S26 Ultra

iPhone 17 series - Sales

17 and Pro are both selling higher than expected with production increasing, Air selling slightly lower with production slightly decreasing or staying the same

Overall strong sales with demand 12% higher than forecasts

Galaxy S26 no longer being called Pro very likely means hardware like the cameras has stayed the same from the previous model

At this point I’m not really interested in the whole lineup anymore, basically all exciting changes were shelved

Crazy thing about the S25 Edge is Samsung didn’t even market it when the iPhone Air was released

Better display? Speakers? Cooling? Battery? Yeah how about just not saying anything

Not even one of those pots that target Apple was made, literally nothing!

The mess:

• The Edge cancellation rumor comes from suppliers. Problem is some say it’s cancelled and others say the supply was adjusted

• Exynos is in chaos. Supply is constantly changing and how it will be used and solved is unknown

• Software development is nowhere to be found for the Plus…
