My name's John, and over 40 years(ish) of miniatures hobby, I'm STILL horrible at getting anything finished up, but I still love the hobby and the inspiration I get from others (that often leads me to having Way Too Many Projects Going At Once). I'll often include "back in the day" in sentences.
A unit of three space marine Aggressors, done up in the colours of the Iron Hands chapter. A group of necrons in the colours of the Szarehkian Dynasty, advancing through a set of dark hexagonally-shaped rock outcroppings. An Adeptus Mechanicus Kastelan robot Ever-Faithful, done in colours evoking both the Mars Craftworld but also the Astartes Ultramarine chapter, with whom it served during the defense of Calth. An Imperial Knight Armiger-Warglaive, done in the colours of House Taranis of Mars.

Getting up in the morning is gonna burn... but all the subassemblies are pretty much done at least.
A mostly assembled but as of yet unpainted Warhammer Horus Heresy Thanatar-Cavas battle automaton, standing in a menacing, slightly forward leaning pose to indicate aiming the plasma bombard on its shoulder. Some armour plates are off as I've not fully glued it together so that I can paint some of the trickier to reach areas as subassemblies. It's currently being held together by blu-tac and strong wishing.

The assembled but not painted arm of a Warhammer Horus Heresy Thanatar-Cavas battle automaton. The instructions page for how to assemble the arm of a Warhammer Horus Heresy Thanatar-Cavas battle automaton, a ludicrously involved process involving more parts for a single arm than most miniatures have in the entire model. The work in process mock assembled Warhammer Horus Heresy Thanatar-Cavas battle automaton, still missing the left arm, shoulder mounted plasma bombard and a number of ammo feeds and armour plates left off for subassembly painting.

An assembled but not yet painted Questoris Knight Magaera from Games Workshop's Legions Imperialis. It is a hulking humanoid-shaped mecha with a cyclops-eyed head, clad in thick armour and armed with a massive claw on one arm and a huge lightning cannon on the other. To give an idea of the size of the miniature, the backdrop to it is the palm of my hand.

I mean, if I had to wear cast iron armoured pants and boots, I'd also probably want to be wearing four sets of socks and trousers underneath to prevent chafing.

The one kind of crypto I can get behind; a pair of necron cryptothralls.
A pair of Necron Cryptothralls from Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000. Hunched robotic humanoid cyclones with scythe like hands, they are painted in the ancient brassy colour of the Szarehkian Dynasty, with steely joints and scythes and with glowing yellow-green accents, and marching across a cracked blackened base with green energy visible through cracks in the ground around their feet.

So #WarhammerCommunity posted an article celebrating the history of Land Raiders, and I figured that sharing these venerable pre-millenial efforts of mine would be appropriate. A 1st gen Land Raider and Predator from my second homebrew chapter, and an Epic scale Emperor's Children one.
Classic first generation Warhammer 40,000 tanks, a Predator on the left and a Land Raider on the right, painted in an orangey reddish colour with yellow camo stripes line with black in the heraldry of an old homebrew chapter of mine. A slightly dusty classic Land Raider from the Space Marine/Epic 40,000 "epic scale" games.l by Games Workshop. This one is painted purple with gold side panels and bears an attempt at a hand painted Emperor's Children chapter icon on the door, as part of a larger Epic Scale army of Emperor's Children marines I painted back in the day.

The recipe I use is from this "cheat sheet" I found ages ago. Fittingly for Iron Hands, the recipe I use is called Istvaan V.

This is what I've used on my other Iron Hands:
A group of Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Aggressors led by an Apothecary Biologis. They are in the black and steel heraldry 9f the Iron Hands chapter, the Apothecary having one arm and shoulder as well as his backpack in white to represent his role.

Thank you, I'm fairly proud of it. :) Might fine tune it a bit, I'm hitting the end of my ability to sustain my patience (which leads to getting sloppy), but it's been a long time waiting for some deserved attention.

Right then, just need the base done and any egregious goofs i spot and done. Like how this Iron Hands terminator captain from the Leviathan job is working out.
A Space Marine Terminator Captain, from the Leviathan boxed set by Games Workshop for their Warhammer 40,000 game. His armor is the steely black of the Iron Hands chapter, with highlights in bright steel, brass, gold, white and red. In one hand he holds an ornate power sword arcing with bolts of blueish energy, and in the other he holds a massive double barreled storm bolter with a white casing. His head is half covered in an iron plate, and the opposite eye has been replaced with a glowing red bionic eyepiece.

Pulling a stalled project off the bench and started working on it again. The perils of watching a live stream battle report for one of the factions I have in progress.
A Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Captain in Terminator armour from the Leviathan boxed set by Games Workshop. A massively armored warrior in primarily black armour, with much heraldic detailing in silver, gold, brass, red, white, grey stone and bone colors. He weilds a massive double barreled storm bolter gun in one hand and a huge, heavily ornamented sword crackling with arcs of energy in the other. He's still a work in progress, with some painting and detailing left to be done, as well as the painting of the elaborate scenic base he stands on.

Coming in at the 11th hour, but some stuff I've been working on for the #WarhammerChallenge

(The rumors of my devolving into chaos spawn are much exaggerated)
A mostly painted Grombrindal miniature from Games Workshop, an axe wielding legendary dwarf with flowing white hair and beard. A fully painted but still needing to be based Canis Rex model from Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000. A gigantic Knight Questoris mech suit with a crushing hand, a massive laser weapon for the other arm, and painted in silver, gold, red and white heraldry with white wolf head and broken chains iconography.

Pretend their Sovereign Suit evolved from Orrus armour. Done.
