UPDATE: The Embassy of Afghanistan in Ankara is being made operational,the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs of the Interim Afghan Government said.

Zakir Jalali said the Interim Afghan Government’s diplomats are there and will continue their consular services.

ALERT: Afghanistan's Embassy in Turkey ended its mission today and handed it over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the Embassy said in a statement.

The statement added that the embassy was handed over based on the Vienna conventions where the host country has the authority.

UPDATE: The Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident in the UN compound that killed one person and wounded another.

The Spokesperson Abdul Matin Qani added that the killed person is an IEA soldier and the wounded one is an employee of UNAMA.

He said that an investigation is ongoing.
