Whether she is 79 or 39 should not matter. The question is can she do the job? Are her public policies solid? Has she been a good public servant. Ageism is a discriminatory term that divides us. BTW it works both ways, too young or too old.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

I'm right there with you Molly. It has made me incredibly sad. He lied when he said the White House wouldn't be touched. The fact that no one stood up makes me even sadder. The White House is a national historical treasure and part of it was destroyed today.

The nuclear option is a procedural maneuver in the U.S. Senate that allows the change of Senate rules with a simple majority of 51 votes instead of the usual 60 votes. They used the nuclear option on September 2025, to speed up the confirmation of executives. The Republicans own this shutdown.

We need to start demanding his resignation. Not that I think it will get us far but I think that needs to be the narrative. He does not serve his constituents, his colleagues are the betterment of the American people. He needs to go.
