We are each taking this as a win 🙌

So after the first half of the draft, Nicole might have better episodes but Peter's "team" is much more balanced.

11. V/H/S

A wonderfully constructed anthology of found footage horror films that launched a franchise. Each installment is unique and scary in its own ways, with "Amateur Night" and "10/31/98" being particular standouts

Nicole: 8/10
Peter: 8.5/10

10. Child's Play (1988)

Brad Dourif turns in an iconic performance in this fun take on a slasher. We're glad later installments lean into the goofiness because, while this has some shocking moments, it's not particularly scary.

Nicole: 6.5/10
Peter: 7/10

08. Trick 'r Treat

A delightful weave of Halloween themed horror vignettes. Sam is an absolutely iconic character. The whole cast is great, but Brian Cox and Anna Paquin turn in standout performances.

Peter: 8/10

07. Dangerous Animals (2025)

A refreshing new take on a shark movie headed by a tremendous performance by Jai Courtney. Sharks are scary, but they aren't the real monster in this flick. Absolutely worth a watch

Nicole: 7.5/10
Peter: 6.5/10

"A cool concept where the sharks are scary -- but not bloodthirsty hell beasts. #TeamMarlin" 7.5/10

"Jai Courtney is a revelation. Solid scares, uneven at times. Could probably be 15 mins shorter." 6.5/10

06: Haunt (2019)

Taking nods from the traps in "Escape Room" and the aesthetic of "Hell House, LLC", "Haunt" offers some terrifying moments with creative set-pieces and incredible prosthetics. Fun, disgusting, and creepy throughout.

You might recognize "A World of His Own" star Keenan Wynn from such films as "Dr. Strangelove", "Annie Get Your Gun", and "The Last Unicorn", but you may not know that his actual, full name is the much more fanciful "Francis Xavier Aloysius James Jeremiah Keenan Wynn". Yeah, we'd shorten it too.

01: Urban Legend (1998)

An irreverent play on meta-horror in the wake of Scream (1996), Urban Legend has some fun moments. It really drags at points, but is held together by a stellar performance by Rebecca Gayheart.
