perfectly valid! i did say on another post this could be very easily vegan-ised. a soya or coconut yoghurt would take care of that

solidarity with the plant based comrades, i did a vegetarian version today with fried chickpeas and leftover onion and leeks

I respect your respect for the togs. I stand by my statement that I would pay real greenbacks for your grub, formal training or not.

carrying on this curry week, today i made a veggie version with a tin of chickpeas, and leftover leeks and onions -

so this is now a dahi dal dopiaza? i think?

why hasn’t granada studios done the whole canon of dickens like they’ve done with sherlock holmes or poirot?

the bbc’s done shakespeare anthologies so it’s not like these projects haven’t been completed

that’s so kind. i can’t host currently but would be so sad if i didn’t do insufferably middle class dinner parties at least at one point in my life

perhaps, but “chef” is a term used to describe someone who’s graduated culinary school. which i have not.

it would be like calling yourself brigadier because you do air soft on weekends

My goodness! You could definitely be cheffing anywhere. This looks & sounds exquisite. I’m currently having a long overdue relationship with leeks, learning how they are underutilized and so versatile. When you open your restaurant I will need a reservation right away!😊

thanks but i'm just a home cook, no way near as good as a chef!

as it happens i've got three leeks still to use up and i can't figure out what to use them for and need ideas. . .

such kind words

Honestly I wish anyone in my house could appreciate this plate like I do. I might have the wherewithal to create something this special but also nobody would care enough to merit the effort. Bravo to you and your skill & knowledge to make something so delectable.

cook's notes: if you swap the natural yogurt for soya or coconut based, this would be #vegan, too

was particularly pleased with this one myself, and there's still pork, prawn, and the veggie version still to go!
