That would be very funny, but I worry that it's sometimes difficult to discern fake drama on the internet 🤔
We as humans just wanna take sides

I don't think SimpsonsTube is really that much of a thing anyway, these channels are really just a subset of Animation YouTube

Nothing in particular. It looks like there is more stuff on TikTok with authors being stupid or writing crappy books with clout. But there is some navel-gazing BookTube stuff too about where the niche is going.
I probably need to get it out of my algorithm

I'm going to start a fake fight with Lydia so I can do a Serious Sit-Down Video, "We need to talk about SimpsonsTube"
therealjims.bsky.social
I dunno why I keep getting recommended videos about Booktube and Booktok, but my god is there a lot of drama about book content
therealjims.bsky.social
Yes, but I am a sicko who would be doing that anyway 🤣

This is kinda my rationale for not starting a Patreon, since I still do my day job and this all just extra side hustle money. If I ever quit and have to do YouTube as a full-time job (unlikely) then we'll talk 😛

I know some YouTubers are complex businesses where the money is supporting their staff. That is a different situation. I mean for smaller operation creators who are already set for life
therealjims.bsky.social
I get the whole "I wanna support my favorite entertainer" aspect. But at some point, they're so set financially that it's like donating to a charity for an already solved problem
therealjims.bsky.social
Charlie (MoistCr1TiKaL) turning off all his donations is so cool, and it's annoying that more set-for-life YouTubers don't do it

What
I didn't bother looking up the later editions yet, I just assumed he was next. That's hilarious
We stan our irrelevant king 👑

Also it makes me irrationally angry that Splinter jumped the line. Why do you guys gotta do Mikey like that
therealjims.bsky.social
It happened again 🐢🐀🐢🐢

I forgot I made this joke. It's true, though! There is a whole genre of Treehouse segments that are essentially list jokes of random character deaths
therealjims.bsky.social
Haha, that is exactly the kind of story pivot they often do! I am always amused at the #3 part, how they pull off the transition.
In this example a beach ball lands in a pot of spaghetti Luigi is cooking on the beach for some reason, and it splashes his girlfriend
therealjims.bsky.social
Oh dang, you're right 🤣

___Homer___ buys a ___trampoline___ from ___Krusty___, chaos ensues.

A ___badger___ moves into __Santa's Little Helper's___ ___doghouse___ and ___Homer___ has to deal with it
therealjims.bsky.social
Hey, they're getting people talking about it!
And honestly, given the shady A.I. initial toy company in the teaser, I'm betting it's gonna dunk on AI in the end
therealjims.bsky.social
When I rewatched the first movie I did really enjoy their comedy duo
therealjims.bsky.social
Ok yeah, that does sound extremely annoying

I never watched 2012... Out of curiosity, what was bad about 2012 Mikey?

I was mostly indifferent to him as the "party guy" but I really enjoy the IDW version. Brings a lot of levity and his "Leo & Raph, pls stop fighting" thing is such a vibe 🤣
therealjims.bsky.social
For real, though, Donatello is also cool and all but, reading the IDW comics, he can fall into the "well, actually" skeptic guy and it can be a little tiresome at times. Otherwise, he's also great
