People in Hawai‘i love to complain about govt because it's an easy foil for what troubles them. It's a perpetual grievance they can wield. But ask them to show up and actually vote to make change (however slow it may come)?

Nope. Just over 50% turn out, the worst by far.
Just about complete with state turnout rates, with still just a few more states left to post final numbers. Here's a 2020 (Blue) to 2024 (Orange) turnout rates with green arrows identifying turnout rate increases
Unlike the lone newspaper from Dothan, AL, which voted for Trump by almost two to one.
This man is a hapless, spineless jellyfish in a human suit.
She's already drafted her pardon for signature at some future date, so she absolutely fears no consequence.
"But just don't call it fascism," Tom concluded, a bromide he's repeated on Bluesky approximately 1473 times.
The karma on this one is going to be very, very sweet.

Every day I log on and just see endless videos of ICE agents breaking state, federal, and international laws.
I think it's spelled b-o-o h-o-o.
And, like many things Reagan stood for (e.g., standing up to Russian aggression), it looks like this is a backdoor way for Republicans to kneecap EMTALA and further destroy hospitals in non-urban communities.
Didn't see a Kickstarter email so I'm glad to see the reminder here - just pledged!
I really wish I had your faith, not just in that institution but in the people running it. Because thus far, they've been active participants in militarizing places Trump chooses for spite.
Our mistake is in assuming the military is any different from the other circuit breakers in our society. They may detest the man personally, but they will bend their knees as quickly as all the others have so they can remain intact.
Let's not kid ourselves.
The sad but obvious counterpoint to knowing our "rights" and confidently proclaiming so is the clear video evidence that the President, the DOJ, the DHS, and ICE/CBP/FBI/National Guard seemingly do not care about our "rights" and will routinely, and gladly, violate them without consequence.
I think of myself as fairly educated and hyper aware of our politics over the last twenty years, yet I'm sitting here just stunned that this is the first time I've seen the back half of that Clinton quote.
Stick to Wordle, Dan. You’ll be happier.
I don’t have the energy to sift through Tom’s posts but if I did I’m guessing I’d find you there defending his honor on the regular. So, rather than continue trying to illuminate cause and effect, I’ll just cede the whole thing and say you and our mutual boy Tom are right about everything.
Fox News, however, was enabled by Murdoch's experience with Fox Network and its relationships with local news stations, to say nothing of how it filled his coffers.

Y'all like talking about points in time without connecting the points. Thanks, though, Rob.
Thanks for reiterating the point I made. But with an ellipsis...
Did I say Fox News? No, I did not.

But without the Fox Network and Murdoch's expanding influence with local stations, to say nothing of the expansion of his wealth, launching the vile cable sister network would have been less likely. But go off, Tom.
"...by Violence He Seemed to Foresee."

NYT headline writers are a class unto themselves, really.
I'm old enough to remember that the Fox network began as an over-the-air network. Pretty sure Tom is, too.
Anyone not named Kirk or Trump speaking at this should remember well that there will be video of every syllable they utter and it will follow them forever.

Q: Do you think it would've been fitting to lower the flags to half staff when Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota House Speaker, was gunned down by an assassin?

TRUMP: I'm not familiar. The who?
