My guidance counselor didn't tell me this was a career path. I am furious.
I also once picked up that LP for about the same price and I guess some people don't know what they have. More for us tastemakers, I guess.
I can't stop singing "Zohran Mamdani" to the tune of Baby Beluga.
The explanation of my ruse is raising a lot of questions already answered by the explanation of my ruse.
Look, I know she is The Maid of Might but where are her shoes?
There are way worse fates.
I love this era and style of commercial illustration. Thanks for introducing me to a new (to me) artist that I can obsess over.
I tried it and within just 21 days I will be getting a check from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts (I left in 1999) for $3.57 "plus applicable interest if any." (I don't imagine there will be any.) Neat!
The money is in the piles of bricks our leaders drop off for us at protest sites.
But "BOLD" is right there in the title. What's more bold than disregarding ladder safety?
Fante Bukowski. I'm most of the way there already.
Still upset that his parents didn't name him Eduardo.
Seconded from Seattle.
Hey, not for nothin' but "Prepare To Die" is a great god damned read. Hilarious conceit, wonderfully executed. Great lineup of heretofore unknown heroes, too.
Same problem in US charity shops. Dollar Bin fodder being offered at highest price-guide numbers. Just for laughs (because I'm like that) I checked ebay for sold/closed auctions for that Harley Quinn book. Highest went for $12 USD (around 10 euro), lowest sold for 0.99 USD (0.85 euro).
30+ years ago when I was a house painter, my coworker and I were on adjacent ladders, quietly doing our thing, when he said, "Here's a sobering thought, 'Who's The Boss?' ran for nine seasons." Then we returned to painting quietly. I think about it at least once a week.
Heading down to the Guffaw Gulag.
Not normally a fan of PTA, but I'll drop $20 bucks on Roy DeSoto. Thanks for the Tighe Tip
May I add The Decline of Western Civilization (part 1) directed by Penelop Spheeris. It is a pretty great chronicle of early '80s LA punk and huge part of my own punk experience. Oh, also Billy Idol's old band, Generation X.
This early draft of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is weird.
Somebody get Grandpa his slippers an a glass of buttermilk.
