They know that. The science on the failure of the "war on drugs" and successful models for how to actually address substance use as effective policy has been known for some time now. They use these tactics to justify violence against the poor. Period.

I work in a crisis center in Seattle. All of my clients have substance use or mental health issues.

I have never felt fear of the people I work with or the neighborhood I work in.

This is reefer madness for blue cities. It's really, really fn dumb.
