If you’re a rapier, smallsword, Sidesword, or just thrust-focused, I play an “insistence” game that could be translated into a zombie theme:

Your opponent only and constantly drives forward into a slow thrust and you have to continue to parry away. Because the opponent is only doing one slow action

Don’t worry! I don’t gatekeep what people post as long as it is HEMA related or adjacent. Unfortunately the system I use is unbiased in keywords and the term HEMA, fencing, and swordplay can yield some very different results that what I intend 😆

I love my dessert in the desert.

I went to the local patisserie in Marrakech and couldn’t decide on what to try, so I got one of everything!

You know what isn’t awful? Moroccan couscous and falafel!

This meal consisted of a vegetarian couscous and a falafel wrap. The flavors were so rich, deep, and fresh!

My first meal in Marrakech was an amazing vegetarian tagine with green peas, tomatoes, eggs, and more.

It was complemented by fresh dates, bread, and closed out with a fudgey cake served with a dollop of whipped cream.

My next stop was a very unique sight to behold. This is the Bone Chapel found in Faro, Portugal.

All of the bones are from monks that served with the church.

While this isn’t a traditional Portuguese food or concoction, I just had to share how amazing this is.

This is a vegan seitan “steak” topped with chimichurri. The taste and texture on this are impeccable. Recommended.

Portugal is the snack capital that keeps on giving!

This is the “Dom Rodrigo” flavor gelato. A traditional dessert from Algarve with almond, cinnamon, caramel, and topped with sweet egg threads.

This next traditional Portuguese treat is called Ovos moles de Aveiro.
