Wow, hello everybody!

I woke up today to a LOT of new followers, so I thought I'd make a quick introductory post to let y'all know more about me.

Back on the 'other site' I mostly posted about urban issues, Magic: the Gathering, Roller Derby, equity, and - in the summer - baseball. 1/

From what I've seen (and we may be seeing different people) it feels more like people are resigning themselves to the fact that UB exists, so enjoying the products, rather than a 'UB shouldn't exist except for my favourite IP' situation.

Watching the post victory celebrations, and two things occur to me.

I) it feels so performative. Like "this is how we're supposed to celebrate" performative.

II) both Pete Walker and @keeganmatheson.bsky.social look like they'd much rather be toasting over a bourbon at a table.

I've always like Strachan, which means they're either local, or Scottish.

Although my personal favourite is Spadina which can tell me if they're local, a tourist, or absolutely old-school and steeped in Toronto.
