Which is a selfish perspective to have because this is how life works. You age and then pass the baton to the younger generation to propel the party forward. One day AOC and Mamdani will be old and out of touch too.

I think AOC and Mamdani are better at politics than Bush and Bowman were & have a better understanding of their constituents. Outside money can only go so far if you have your support locked up.
