They still haven’t replied to my recent e-mail again reiterating that my keys were returned July 15. But you know what they did just send me? A BALANCE DUE NOTICE AND THREATENING TO EVICT ME. Evict me from what??? An empty apartment??? Please be so serious oh my god.

I’ve been doing some light research. It’s been 64 days since I returned my keys; 48 from the day my lease ended. 🤭

Oh boy!! Still nothing!! E-mailed again!! The property manager: “Hi — did you return your keys?”
1. Yes, on July 15.
2. I also e-mailed as much on July 15, which is in the exact same e-mail string they are replying to.
3. Thank god I had the forethought to get a sticky note from the leasing agent.

I went to the office to see if they knew anything just in case before going full panic wellness check mode. Turns out he is indeed on vacation and everything is fine (well except the roaches, which is being handled). I’m yelling at Mr. Neighbor when he gets home!! Tell me if you’re gunna be gone!!

Crashing out in real time because I texted my boss saying I went to bed early last night* and apparently didn’t set an alarm, so is it okay if I work from home today** or I can use a sick day since that’s the policy. I wasn’t about to drive to Seattle in 7AM*** traffic.
