A few fun outfits I created myself for some extras.

1. You never even saw it in the Bronze shot I used but I enjoyed it.
2. How cute is the hood? Delights me.

Char is a short astromech. Astromechs are like R2-D2: They look like round trash bins with heads that are domed or some version of conical, and have two side struts and a center leg or wheel. Char is white with a flat black head with two small manipulator “arms” coming out of it. His center leg is a wheel. He’s wearing a cyan shirt made of felt with a big sticker in red and yellow and white saying “the girls are taking over.” Baus is an astromech, orange body with white accents and a gray domed head with orange accents. He’s wearing a hoodie of light blue (paper) crisscrossed with red (cloth ribbon) and a red hood of stretchy fabric. Toojay is a white astromech with red accents and a flat conic head. Here he’s in a textured cloth purple skirt wrapped around the bottom. A shiny red and purple swath for a shirt (cut out of a magazine), and a fuchsia curling ribbon wrapped around it twice under one strut and over the other. Stuck on the ribbon is a big shiny silver musical not sticker. SP-4 is a gray analysis droid. A squat bipedal droid with vague humanoid looking, stubby appendages. His head is on a neck that bends like the neck of a desk lamp, and it looks like a set of binoculars under an upside down saucer with antennae on top like a spiky mohawk. He’s wearing a dress with a long skirt of orangey pink with large black outlined stars randomly on it. The top is the same material crisscrossed over the shoulders leaving the midriff a bare triangle. The sleeves are a three quarter length darker pink material shrug.

Best or worst hats?

I think it’s a mix. But Chopper thinks he looks pretty fly. Uncle Enyos’ felt hat may be my favorite.
SP-4 is a gray analysis droid. A squat bipedal droid with vague humanoid looking, stubby appendages. His head is on a neck that bends like the neck of a desk lamp, and it looks like a set of binoculars under an upside down saucer with antennae on top like a spiky mohawk Here he’s sporting a light gray felt hat. The brim lays over his saucer and the tall top covers his mohawk. Chopper is a short astromech. Astromechs are like R2-D2: They look like round trash bins with heads that are domed or some version of conical, and have two side struts and a center leg or wheel. Chop is white with a flat orange head with two small manipulator “arms” coming out of it. His center leg is a wheel. This is two shots of him. In one his hat is a tiny, fuzzy brown top hat sitting atop his head antenna. In the other his hat is a black plastic vaguely cowboy hat tilted and more proportional to his head size. Lance as Der Kinderstod stands tall in a black plastic vaguely cowboy hatlike hat that seems familiar from the last photo. Since the character’s got a humanlike face and hair, the hat looks fairly natural. SM-33 is also bipedal. He’s wearing a hat that’s supposed to look Viking ish. A fuzzy black fur (pipe cleaner) around his head and two small off-white horns sticking up in back. R3-T2 as Buffy wears a stretchy black fabric over her dome that looks like a stocking cap from some angles. P-100 has two black squarish pieces of felt lying behind the antenna on his rounded saucer head to represent a cloth cap as well. It’s not great. Bee as Willow is wearing a fuchsia cotton ball on his flat head meant to be a cute fluffy hat but looking like a cotton ball because it won’t flatten.

Oz fits.

Oz was fun to costume. Almost always in layers with a graphic tee underneath that I could never exactly replicate. But came up with some fun facsimiles.

Remember people wearing bowling shirts with someone else’s name? Feels like a million years ago.
R4-H5 is a white astromech. Astromechs are like R2-D2: They look like round trash bins with heads that are domed or some version of conical, and have two side struts and a center leg or wheel. H5 has an orange domed head. He’s got a green paper shirt with a sticker of a leaf on it. All covered by red cloth as an overshirt. And with a faux 3d guitar sticker to finish off. 1. Oz in a light green (colored pencil over white paper) with glued on letters outlined in black. You can see N Y And maybe a C. I can’t even remember. Over that cut out paper pieces of a white and red cloth jacket for the button up shirt over it. 2. Oz in a yellow paper tee with a wide white cloth ribbon draped over the shoulders. White typed text on black stickers on the tee say “never stop” and a number hidden by the overshirt. 3. Oz in a white paper shirt covered with an indistinct blue and green picture under a black stripe with the white typed letters, “ocal” all we can see. Dark cloth across the bottom. Then a bright yellow-orange paper over shirt with turned down collar triangles. Two short black stripes run under where pockets would be. Partially hidden under the collar on the right is black cursive that says “Larry.” Here Oz has a paper yellow tee with a blue stripe on top of black typed text on white paper, “six tore” all we can see. Cloth blue bottoms. A paper multicolored shirt mostly covered by a paper coat of dark green that looks like a dirty black. Here Oz has a light blue paper tee with a sticker of a black double note in a field of shiny blue. Over it a cloth of light dusky green with glued on strips of black cloth trim in a bee in front. His bottoms a cloth dark blue with some green squares.

Hanging out on set.

Quite a bit of actual hanging from things this season. I got a little ambitious with the wire work.
Lie To Me, Reptile Boy, Go Fish, School Hard, Bad Eggs, Becoming, When She Was Bad, I Only Have Eyes for You, Phases and Ted all represented.
Archy as Angel on a my attempt at a swing set. R4-P17 as Cordelia and R3-T2 as Buffy hanging in chains again a stone wall. Viper as Nurse Greenliegh hanging in the sewer set. KT as Sheila leaning from her ropes in Spike and Dru’s room. The baby bezoar prop on the library doors. R3-T2 as Buffy hanging from Archy as Angel in front of Acathla. R-3PO as Coach Marin hanging upside down in the sewer set. IRRI as Giles hanging upside down in the factory set. OOM-9 as Angelus possessed by Grace hanging upside down for his fall over the balcony. R3-T2 as Buffy hanging from a tree in a net made of duct tape. IG-86 as Ted on a wire to fall back from Buffy’s kick out her bedroom door. Dramatis Personae part 2

Ones with no human names are either unlisted or extras I made up. I sometimes used background actors’ costumes to imitate for costuming and sometimes just made it up. The mall crowd and most of the trick or treaters were not based on anyone in particular in the show.

Stitched To Your Memory Like a Farewell Garment

Part 19

How The Light Blinds My Eyes
A: Interior, Angelus’ Mansion. A tight shot of the area where MA-13 as Acathla stands. On the tan flooring with the lines of dark green, moss green and brown, Blu as Angelus has turned from Acathla with the sword in his hand. But facing him is R3-T2 as Buffy, who also has a sword and is meeting his steel with her own. Acathla stands apparently still dormant behind them. B: Exterior, Angelus’ Mansion balcony. In the background we can just make out the room inside with Acathla as a blurry figure. On the left is a short wall with a purple bush growing over it. In the front of shot is a short railing. Against the low wall is R3-T2 as Buffy. Her sword is gone. She’s partially collapsed back against the wall. Standing in front of her is Blu as Angelus. He still has his sword. He’s lunged it right at Buffy’s face. But she has somehow extended one small manipulator at the exact time to catch and stop the sword. C: Interior, Angelus’ Mansion. Back in front of MA-13 as Acathla, looking straight at him. The tables have turned. Blu as Angelus, in his silly leather pants and black shirt, now swordless, is sprawled at the base of Acathla. R3-T2 as Buffy has her sword again and is standing on Angelus, aiming the sword at his throat.

Part 18

Beneath the Earth is Trembling
Interior, Angelus’ Mansion. We’re still looking from the area where Giles is tied up back towards the area where Acathla is. IRRI as Giles is still sitting on the right with his hands tied, but now R4-M9 as Xander is beside him, looking to remedy that situation. Xander is still in his dark blue and his strut is still wrapped in a white dressing. Behind them on the tan flooring with the lines of dark green, moss green and brown, R3-T2 as Buffy is fighting Thry the Vampire, her stake heading his way. Behind them against a wall, L3-37 as Spike is holding tight to K-3PO as Drusilla, keeping her from the fray. His wheelchair lies tipped over behind them. On the left, where MA-13 as Acathla stands mostly out of view, Blu as Angelus has grabbed the hilt of the sword in Acathla’s chest.

The Cold Dish of Morning

Time Casts a Heavy Glow

Transfixed On a New Tomorrow
Interior, Angelus’ Mansion. The floor is tan with lines of dark green, moss green and brown in patterns. The back wall is various grays and browns, with an arch in the center and a design of steel flowers on the left. The rest is obscured. K-3P0 as Drusilla, black coat over her red top, stands along the gray left wall next to L3-37 as Spike, who has added his red button shirt back into the black ensemble but still sits in his red and gray wheelchair. On their right a few paces is Blu as Angelus, in black, facing forward, his back directly to us. He’s staring at a tan rock statue standing against a tan rectangular slab of rock. To the right is another stone slab that used to be the front of this stone box. It has some cuneiform-ish writing on part of it. The statue is MA-13 as the demon Acathla. It’s bipedal, with ribs and abs chiseled into the torso, a face with big pointed ears alongside it and two small horns on the head. It has round eyes and a mouth with big, long lips, closed together. Out of its chest protrudes a sword. We can see the hilt and just a little bit of steel. Flanking Acathla are two Vampires, Remy and Thry, fangs out, in all black.
