I’ve found that most button feel comes from the membranes used, but I generally like how this one turned out. Not too clicky, not too mushy.

There are more options than ever before for upgraded Game Boy screens…so is the cheapest one I could find any good? New video!

I bought the CHEAPEST Game Boy screen from AliExpress...

The only positive thing that can come from this is that maybe I can buy the rights for the SimCity 2000 source code at fire sale prices lol

It’s funny — buy a 3D-printed thing and it feels like a rip-off but print it yourself and it’s amazing

I have a few items from my collection for sale at VCF Midwest this weekend! My friend Steve will have these at his table, located near other awesome folks like MacEffects, @museumjoe.bsky.social and @bluescsi.com along with a few stickers!
Fully restored Mac SE/30 including BlueSCSI v2! PowerBook 150 in way better condition than it deserves Original Macintosh II — the first color Mac! Macintosh Portable in fantastic shape. Fully restored, new battery, BlueSCSI and includes original carrying case and power supply.

While I’m sadly unable to make it to VCF Midwest this weekend, a portion of my vintage Mac collection will be there…and it’s for sale! More details soon!

Just wait until people (re)discover Anri, all hell will break loose. Mass dancing in the streets

@connectionsmuseum.bsky.social I know y’all focus on CO gear but any interest in an 80s PBX?
Four Meridian 1 phone cabinets, each the size of a refrigerator.
thisdoesnotcompute.bsky.social
Yeah, Kai Robinson and I worked on it — both the main PCB and the daughtercard. I started putting together a BOM but couldn’t identify some parts or figure out modern replacements (particularly the Sony-branded ones).
thisdoesnotcompute.bsky.social
Yeah I gotta get my shit together and finish testing my own PCBs

I picked up a JBL speaker that works really well except for one design flaw: the power button breaks off! Let’s take a look at fixing it (for free!) and some other interesting secrets that lie within…

IDK what’s weirder about this iMac, that it’s an Intel model with USB-C and a 1080p screen, or that in 2020 it has “think different” on the box
An absolutely wack 2020 iMac box showing the specifications. 21” 1080p (non-Retina) screen with an Intel CPU, SSD and two USB-C ports. Oh and the box has the “think different” slogan on it.

“I just cut this keyboard in half!”
A Kinesis Freestyle 2 keyboard. Makes no damn sense because aren’t split keyboards supposed to also be ergonomic? This one is just split for no reason. The extra keys on the left are kinda neat though

Got this from Redbubble today. So instead of making $2 per t-shirt, now I’ll only make $1. And if I bumped up the margin to make $2 again, they’ll just take 50% of that too.

And this is all on top of the profit they’re making from producing the merch to begin with.

Am I understanding this right?
Some bullshit from Redbubble about how they’re making more money at artists’/sellers’ expense.
