I’m fascinated by the early days of radio, and how voice acting developed. There’s plenty of information about foley (I’ll cop right now to not knowing it’s named after an actual PERSON), but less so about vocal 'effects'. I suppose much of it was done, ‘in-larynx’, as it were.

Voice actors of all stripes: What are some of your favourite vocal effects (organic or otherwise)? I want to give a shout-out to FREAKSHOW INDUSTRIES, I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of their Backmask and Dumpster Fire plugins.
